So short version is it works inside, but not outside. The Global Session timeout only applies to single client sessions. This essentially means how long a user account has been logged into the Windows OS in the desktop VM. Ultimately (after 15-20s or so) it tells me the remote connection has been ended. The Session time is the total time a session has been active on that particular VM. When I leave the office and go to any other Internet connection, I get a login, provide login details, then a black screen and that's where it stays. When I test this connection locally from a PC on the same network via the View Client, it seems to work fine. I am sending all traffic through our firewall via DMZ into the Viewserver. I have setup a Viewserver, a vCenter and a PDC. I am pretty new to the VM scene, and am trying to setup the ability for my bosses to connect to a virtual desktop while they are on the go.
